Vermeil is a legally regulated jewellery standard. It refers to 925 sterling silver that is expertly coated with at least 2.5 microns thick 18ct genuine gold.
Due to the thickness, vermeil gold lasts a lot longer than standard gold plated jewellery. It can stand the test of time if cared for well. Vermeil is the best alternative to pure gold at the best price.
All our materials are sourced by the "fairtrade" and "fairmined" certified jeweller that we work with. To make the pieces, concept sketches and 3D models made by our team are used to create moulds that are casted into pieces using the "lost wax" process. Each piece is then hand polished and manually assembled into the final form that you recieve.
Please avoid wearing Redhan Jewellery pieces when swimming, exercising, bathing, washing hands or to bed. Keep away from strong extreme temperatures, sunlight and strong chemicals like perfumes and lotions.
Use a soft polishing cloth to clean the jewellery pieces. Please avoid using cloth or tissue as it can scratch the pieces. We also advice against the use of chemical cleaners.
All our pieces come with a cotton pouch which can be used for storage. Ensure that the chains are fastened and are stored individually to prevent scratching and tangling.
Oxidation can promote tarnishing processes. To prolong the beauty of the pieces, make sure they are sealed properly during storage to keep the air out. Alternatively, you can also use dessicant crystals
Your pieces are covered within a 5 year warranty. We offer replating and repairing services for all of our pieces free of charge within the UK and the Maldives, within the warranty period. This includes the shipping costs too! For everywhere else, these services are free of charge within the warranty period, except for the costs of shipping.
Please contact our friendly team to intiate the warranty claim. For the claim, a legitimate proof of purchase is required. This can include an invoice or a confirmation email. If you cannot find a proof of purchase, we can still offer the services for a small charge.
Even if your jewellery piece is outside the 5 year warranty, we can still offer the repairing and replating services for a small charge. Kindly send us a message to get a quotation for the required service. Upon repair, you pieces will be eligible for an additional 5 years of warranty!
